The Duo brings together both sides of Solar Reserve in one box.

You get one bottle of SR55, our award-winning Jamaican and Dominican Republic Caribbean blend, and one bottle of SR8, our single-origin eight-year-old Dominican Republic rum.

Two very different expressions of what we love about rum.

SR55 — mix, pour, share.

43% ABV, combining traditional Jamaican copper pot-still rum with carefully selected 3, 5 and 8-year-old Dominican rums. Fruity, smooth and incredibly versatile.

SR8 — sip, savour, slow down.

46% ABV, single-origin Dominican Republic rum made from fresh sugarcane juice and tropically aged for eight years in ex-bourbon oak.

Same family. Very different personalities.

We’d start with SR55.

Try it neat or over ice first, then put it to work in a Daiquiri, Mai Tai or simple rum and ginger.

Then move onto SR8 and slow things down. Pour it neat, give it a little time in the glass, or make a Rum Old Fashioned.

Think of it as a mini tour of Solar Reserve.

It gives someone two genuinely different premium Caribbean rum experiences rather than simply two variations of the same bottle.

SR55 is brilliant for cocktails and sharing. SR8 is richer, older and made for slower sipping.

And, frankly, they look rather good together too.

For SR55, try a Daiquiri, Mai Tai, rum and ginger beer, rum and cola, or simply pour it over ice.

For SR8, start neat or over a large cube. It also makes an excellent Rum Old Fashioned.

There are no strict rules though.

Good rum is there to be enjoyed.

No.

Neither rum contains added sugar, caramel colouring or artificial flavourings.

The vanilla, caramel, tropical fruit, coconut and spice notes come naturally from the sugarcane, fermentation, distillation, oak and tropical ageing.

No added nonsense required.
